Worst Of Monday's Storm Misses Dorchester: Dorchester missed much of the severe weather that pounded our area last night, with the village seeing only around 0.30" of rain. Meanwhile, hail as large as the size of a grapefruit fell in southeast Lincoln, as parts of the Capital City saw 6" to 8" in just a couple of hours. Golf-ball sized hail was also reported at Wilber. Five miles southwest of Wilber, quarter-sized hail fell along with just over three inches of rain, according to B.J. Fictum of Saline Weather Services. There is another chance for thunderstorms across the region late tonight, with a possibility that a few storms could be on the strong to severe side, with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall being the primary concerns.
