Meanwhile, in all-state girls basketball honors, DHS senior Wendy Boller and junior Karmen Lawver were named to both the Omaha World-Herald and the Journal Star's honorable mention rolls. The duo was a key factor in the Lady Longhorns 18-4 season in 2008-09 -- a campaign in which DHS found itself ranked for most of the season by both major state newspapers.
We tip our orange and black hats to these fine DHS athletes and school ambassadors.
Nice job once again, Longhorns.
ReplyDeleteGreat job to the students and Mr. Pohl for the work on the alumni tournaments. Excellent event that will be talked about for months and years to come.
Go Huskers and Horns!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet me send my kudos to the Community Foundation for a nice event at the community hall.
ReplyDeleteThe chili and burgers were great and it was so nice to see everyone under one roof talking and having a good time. I am looking forward to the next supper in April.
Any news on who won the alumni tournament? Or how the games played out? Or is that story in the making?

ReplyDeleteIf we receive information on the tourney results, we will publish it.
Congratulations to Bruha and the success of the boys season. He's definitely a stud no doubt about that. However, the Times keeps "chalking it up" as the best team in two decades which is simply not true. The '01 squad was 15-7 and runner up champs in the CRC tourney and the '99 team posted a better record also. I've seen that it's been pointed out on numerous occasions but the Dweller won't stop posting it.

ReplyDeleteNow we all know.
Thank you for correcting the record.

Hey Anonymous .... you should start your own blog you genius. Oh wait, you did. Ha. It went over really well since i think about ten people in total saw it. Go back to school and learn how to write your own name first before you cast stones from your glass house.
