    2. Hahaha! Good for you, it's time to stand up to idiot bullies whether they're online or in real life. Take them on verbally then confront them physically, if needed.

  4. Sounds like the bloggers must think physical violence is ok. Another feather in your cap.

    2. The 'go bulldogs' comment sounds like he/she is a little too obsessed with this blog. My psychology major tells me this is a person who:

a.) Is overweight and miserable with life.
b.) Is in debt and miserable with life.
c.) Whose children are underperforming socially or academically, and is miserable with life.
d.) All of the above and is miserable with life.

    3. Wow, Steve, what a load of bovine turdiosis! My degree from the School of Hard Knocks with a degree in common sense taught me that e.) being a sanctimonious nincompoop can also cause the condition known as "miserable with life." Unfortunately it is rarely the nincompoop who suffers the ill effects of this condition but rather they are visited upon those poor souls who said nincompoop considers his inferiors, and those who are forced into contact with him, either physically or through written communication.
And whereas it is possible for folks in the general population to:
      a). Go on a diet
b). Work their way out of debt
c). Help their children become better adjusted
the condition of being a sanctimonious nincompoop is generally not considered to be curable at this time. But hang in there, Steve. Science is coming up with miracles everyday so your cure might be right around the corner. We poor miserables are eagerly awaiting!

  5. How on earth did an article on community youth sports spiral downward into such a cesspool of mean spiritedness? The first two comments were just fine, but what did the rest have to do with this article? What a sad commentary on our community. I really did not want to get mixed up in this mess until I read the comments from Steve. They are possibly the worst. I know plenty of folks who are either overweight, in debt, or struggle with "underperforming" children, or some combination of the three, and they don't necessarily seem any more miserable than anybody else. How dare you suggest that people with any of these conditions is miserable with life just because their lives don't fit your definition of perfection which apparently is skinny and rich with gifted children. I can't believe your psychology major suggested such a thing. I just wish we could all be a little more considerate of each other's feelings and behave in a way that is more conducive to getting along with everyone in our community. That would benefit all of us. Please.

  6. I wish the Times would re-install its old policy of not printing comments that are unrelated to the story, especially since many of the comments (almost all, dare I say) are from people who don't live in Dorchester. I'm tired of the antagonists who say "Go Bulldogs" or make other lowbrow comments to rile people, just as I'm tired of the back-and-forth tough talk by people who hide behind their computer and tell us how smart and happy they are. Grow up folks.

    Signed,

    Proud Dorchester Resident
