Hey, to all those who opposed the idea of cooping with Milford on football and other sports, I want to point a few things out.
ReplyDeleteOur Dorchester football team went 0-8 this season. You have to go back 35 years or more since we last had a 0 win season. We finished last out in our Class D-2 district of six teams. I don’t see any standout classes coming up for at least another four years.
Now, for the record, I see that Friend’s football team went 1-7, also finishing last in its D-1 district. Milford went 2-6, finishing second-to-last in its C-1 district. Are we making the right call by merging with Milford, which is a bigger school? I say “probably” only because of the politics and the fact Milford has a strong program history over the past 15 years.
Dorchester’s volleyball team this season went 3-22. Ouch. How can this be good for the esteem/confidence/morale for our girls and boys?
Let the coop between the sports programs begin … today!
Not really pertanent to Dorchester but if Nebraska loses to Michigan badly this weekend I will be leading the BOOT BO campaign. So sick of seeing his neck veins and eyeballs popping out every time the TV cameras are on
