Dorchester Leaders Ask For Community Input On Planning Priorities

If you've ever wanted to let Dorchester's elected leaders know your thoughts about the village's long-term priorities, here's your opportunity.

The village board is conducting an internet-based needs assessment. In short, they want resident input on what should be Dorchester's priorities in its community planning.

Is your main concern the streets? Other infrastructure? Housing? A new community hall? New fire department? Main street improvements.

Now is your time to sound off.

The board currently is looking at costly repairs to the community center, capacity and building condition concerns at the fire station, as well as aged water, sewer, and street infrastructure. The village leaders need your input as to what should be prioritized.

Remember -- you don't have to limit your community engagement to online actions. Sit in on the next Dorchester Village Board meeting, set for this Monday at 7 p.m. at the Dorchester Fire Hall.
