Exit Polls Show Voters Favor School Renovation

Based on exit poll interviews and e-mails from voters of District 44, the Times estimates the following results for today's special election on the $3.98 million Dorchester School renovation proposal:

** UPDATE: As of 5:20 p.m. **
  • YES -- 60%
  • NO -- 40%

Please note that this is a very unscientific poll; it is only a sampling of a handful of Dorchester school district voters. We will update these numbers periodically throughout this election day, as we hear from more District 44 patrons. If you would like to let us know how you voted, please e-mail us at dorchester.times@gmail.com. It is not necessary to provide us your name.

  2. You really believe that. We don't know until 8, but at least we are paying for something but have no idea what we are getting. I guess that a good idea to. Do people ever think. We got one bid and thats it come on even young kids can figure out you should always get more. Wow what a perfect day..

  3. Considering the special circumstances of this election, we are exercising our discretion and -- for the next several days -- will not post comments regarding the school renovation unless they present new information.

Thank you for reading the Times.
